These TV pages focus on the Philips MatchLine 28PW9525 model with an MG7.1E chassis.
Most of the information can also be applied to other models, in particular to models with the following chassis:
These chassis' all have a common background so most of the information applies to most of them. These types are mainly made out of two main printed circuit boards: the Large Signal Panel (LSP)
and the Small Signal Panel (SSP). These names don't relate to the size of the printed circuit board but to the function. The LSP has all the 'power' components (power supply/drives/audio
amplifier) while the SSP contains all the logic (microprocessor/control/processing).
From production number AG/QG20 the following types share the same LSP:
MG2.1E / MG7.1E have the same Large Signal Panel
MG3.1E / MG4.1E have the same Large Signal Panel
Most of the TV information is related to service modes.
There is also some information on older models, concerning service mode. Check out the 'TV: Miscellaneous' page for those.
If you don't know what kind of chassis your TV is based on, then try the 'TV: Chassis list' page. Besides a list for Philips TV's, it has also a chassis list for Sony TV's.
